Kagome also learns that she is the reincarnation of Kikyou, a powerful miko (Shinto priestess) with whom Inuyasha has an interesting past. Kikyou also once protected a strange jewel called the Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four Souls) which gives enormous power to whoever obtains it & it now happens to be in Kagome’s possession. But in Feudal Japan many demons & power hungry humans crave the jewel & Kagome isn’t sure that protecting it is something she’s up to facing. Yet while doing just that, Kagome accidentally shatters the jewel sending it’s hundreds of pieces to the far corners of Japan. Beginning a journey that will take her, Inuyasha & the new friends they will meet down the paths of revenge, love, & self-discovery in this exciting Feudal Fairytale.
